To build a founder personality model grounded in real evidence, rather than intuition alone, we reviewed 27 well-known founders through their long-form biography interviews — from the Tim Ferriss Show, Sequoia's Long Strange Trip, and the Founders Podcast — and used Claude to code and summarise every moment where a founder's behaviour illustrated a specific personality trait in action.
The results surprised us: to the 12 core traits in our original model we were able to add 7 new ones discovered through the research.
